Welcome to Buttrr Social

Buttrr Social is a place for gay men to meet, date, and make friends. These guidelines help everyone have a good experience.

Profile Standards

1. Be 18 or Older

You must be at least 18 years old to use Buttrr Social. Accounts under 18 are removed, permanently.

2. Use Real and Appropriate Photos

Profile photos should clearly show your face, look like you, and be suitable for everyone. No heavily filtered photos, memes, or pictures that aren't you. Keep intimate photos in your private library and send them only to people who want them.

3. Be Authentic

Your profile should accurately represent who you are, including your age and where you are. Use whatever name or headline you're comfortable with.

4. Be Yourself

Be genuine in how you present yourself and how you talk to people, and treat others with the same honesty you'd want back.

Communication

5. Respect Boundaries

Check someone's preferences before sending explicit content. "No" is a complete answer, every time.

6. No Harassment

Don't send repeated unwanted messages, make offensive comments about someone's appearance, or bully anyone.

7. Handle Uncomfortable Situations

If someone makes you uncomfortable or breaks these guidelines, hide them, block them, or report them. Blocking is immediate and mutual: neither of you will see the other again. You control who you see and who can reach you.

Safety and Privacy

8. Protect Privacy

Don't share screenshots of conversations or other people's private photos. A private photo sent to you is for you.

9. Stay Legal

Don't use Buttrr Social for anything illegal, including drug sales, escort services, or asking people for money. That includes promoting illegal substances, offering paid sexual services, and requesting financial help.

10. One Account Per Person

Keep one account. Creating another to get around a block or a ban gets every account involved permanently suspended.

11. Health Information Respect

Health and HIV status are personal. Share your own status honestly if you choose to, and respect other people's privacy and choices.

Consequences

Every report is read by a person. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn you, suspend your account, or ban you permanently. Serious violations, and anything involving minors, result in a permanent ban and, where required, a report to law enforcement. Photos and profile text are also screened automatically when uploaded, and content that fails screening is rejected.
